The Strangest BrewA mix of politics, economics, libertarian ideals, general automotive info, entertainment of all sorts rounded out with some humor. Anything and everything can be a topic. The Strangest Brew, indeed…
So here’s the team that will respresent the site in fantasy this year.
RBs-Ray Rice, Cedric Benson, CJ Spiller, Ben Tate, David Wilson
WRs- Andre Johnson, Miles Austin, Brandon Marshall, Malcolm Floyd, Mike Williams
I am fairly happy with the draft, I got Manning in the 4th round and with the 5th pick I got Ray Rice. Hope he pans out even though he did just get paid, that is usually kryptonite for top 5 running backs. To win this league you need to have strong WR’s because there is no flex position, it is 3 WR’s every week. And with it being a 12 team league you need to find diamond in the rough at WR, I am hoping Vincent Jackson allows Mike Williams to have a breakout year for me. Fred Davis the only TE on the ‘Skins roster will likely be a good performer with rookie qb RG3. The Eagles defense might give up a ton of yards with the wide-9 but they probably have the deepest d-line and should be good for 3-5 sacks every game.
So it’s that special time of year, in just 1 week the NFL season will officially begin. But more importantly Fantasy Football is about to start. The draft for my team “the strangest brew” is this Friday and I need to work on my draft board. FF gives me a reason to watch and keep track of the other games and the tactical aspects of setting your roster require a chesslike mind. Plus it gives me something to look forward to if the Eagles trip out of the gate like they typically do.
It also means that one of my favorite shows starts their 4th season soon. It is crude, lude, offensive show and the majority of the actors are stand-up comedians. It is absolutely great and you don’t have to be FF nut to laugh your ass off watching this show.
If the terms “White Knuckler”, “3 Penis Wine”, “Eskimo Brothers”, “Shiva”, ”McGibblets”, ”Trade-Rape”, and “Yobogoya” don’t ring a bell you are really missing out. It also helps that one of the characters is played by Jon Lajoie. The first 2 seasons are on Netflix Instant and season 3 is probably available on Demand or will be rerun on FX. Here is a clip from the very first episode, check it out.
